Top 5 must see movies this Summer!

We all love watching movies on our mobile devices. But there are some movies that just deserve that special big-screen treatment. Here are six coming our way that we simply can’t wait for any more.

1. Star Wars Episode 7

The Force Awakens. OK, the new trailer broke the Internet and $1 million worth of cinema tickets have been sold already. So we know it’s going to be big. Cinema owners across Australia are praying for wet weather. While there are some die-hards out there who are up in arms about another addition to the franchise, this will bring the Star Wars universe to a whole new generation. Remember, the purists were against the prequel trilogy as well, but our childhoods wouldn't have been the same without pretending to wield Darth Maul's double sided lightsaber or acting out the Mace Windu vs Darth Sidious battle. We're excited - and it's also the perfect time to catch up on Episodes 1-6. May the Force Be with You.

2. Spectre

Make that a vodka martini, shaken not stirred, and make it quick. There’s Bond, and there’s everyone else. If you’re not a fan, time to start.

3. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2

The second part of the final installment in the series. Some would describe Mockingjay Part 1 as a bit lacklustre, but the trailer alone for Part 2 will raise your heart rate. The sense of expectation is tinged with a note of sadness - this movie marks actor Philip Seymour Hoffman’s final role. Those who love the Hunger Games are already queuing outside the cinema doors.

4. Goosebumps

The movie that we never knew that we wanted. There was only one shelf in the primary school library that mattered, and that was the one with the Goosebumps books. The colourful yet creepy covers were enough to entice even the kids who hated reading. Now it's a film starring Jack Black alongside some of the coolest monsters from the series, rendered beautifully in 3D animation. If you like to laugh and scream over your popcorn, this is the movie for you.

5. Point Break

Like the 1991 original this is an FBI thriller with surf, so the perfect movie for an Aussie summer. Australian surfer Laurie Towner was hired as the stunt double for lead character Johnny Utah, and broke his jaw surfing in Teahupo'o for the film . Oh, and there’s extreme skiing and skydiving too. So it should be a cracker.
