Like music, sports and complaining about the weather, food has the power to unite people. No matter where we’re from or what we look like, preparing and consuming delicious things is something that connects us to one another. Of course, the rise of social media has enabled more people (and companies) than ever to share appallingly close-up images that make us all wish we could grab a fork, jab it through our laptop screen & taste what we see.

With that in mind, here are some of the best lip-smacking pictures we’ve seen on Lenovo social media over the last 5 or so years.

BERLIN REFRESHMENT: I wasn’t in Germany for the big IFA conference in 2015 but I remember seeing this shot, salivating and wondering what was in those cans. Was it fresh-squeezed pineapple juice? Rum punch? Hefeweizen? We may never know.

OYSTERS IN AUCKLAND: As if we didn’t already dream enough about visiting gorgeous New Zealand, our friend Bridget (aka The Internet Chef) closed the deal with this drool-inducing shot of South Island bluff oysters and wine (or it that Champagne?).

PERFECTIONIST’S DELIGHT: Tasurinchi lives in Switzerland. From what we can tell, he has three loves. At least that’s the only way to explain why he always shares immaculately taken photographs (1) of his ThinkPads (2) and his dreamy coffee creations (3).

BALANCED BREAKFAST: I have no idea why we immersed this 2014-model Lenovo smartphone in a tub of Lucky Charms but, hey, anything for a good photo op.

FIVE CUPS OF TEA: Back in 2013, our friends at Lenovo India made a video to dramatize the value of having a spill-resistant keyboard on a laptop. (This is a longtime staple of ThinkPads.) The screen-grab doesn’t do it justice so we’re embedding the video for you here.

TECHNICOLOR MACARONS: Pavlov would appreciate the fact that we still drool over this photo after four years. These sublime macarons were served (and no doubt immediately devoured) at a Lenovo Netherlands "For Those Who Do" event in 2012.

THE CARROT PEN: OK, this one isn't droolworthy but we had to include it anyway. We arrived at a 2015 Las Vegas event carrying a Yoga Tablet that touted a new “AnyPen” feature. Then we proceeded to try and use everything we could get our hands on—knives, scissors and various oblong foods—to draw on it. This carrot worked great.

THE CUTTING BOARD: Pizza, anyone? You can tell people about a tough Gorilla Glass display or you can cut your pizza on it to demonstrate. Our team in Romania chose the latter approach for the 2012 ThinkPad X1 launch.

TWO GREAT TASTES: We’ll cop to having photoshopped this picture—I know, you thought it was real—but at least it was for a big occasion: we used it to announce Lenovo’s 2014 acquisition of Motorola.

COLD AS ICE: This one-of-a-kind Lenovo ice bar greeted journalists following a 2011 Lenovo media event in New York City. It was summer. They were probably thirsty.

GEEK’S DREAM CAKE: Gonna be honest: I was at ThinkPad’s 20th birthday party inside New York’s Museum of Modern Art. (A certain famous laptop sits in the permanent collection there.) Spent the whole party waiting for someone to cut this cake. Pretty sure they never did. Charlatans.

LAYERS OF VIBE: Lenovo’s Vibe X2 smartphone (2014) had an intriguing layered design so someone in the company (swear it wasn’t me) suggested we serve these rad layered cocktails at the launch party in Berlin. Good call.

ICED COFFEE WITHOUT ICE: Don’t tell the boss but some days I work from home. If I’m lucky, that means work from porch, which is what I was doing here. Bonus points for the first person who can name the guy whose bust is sitting on that orange cart in the background.

That’s it for now. We’d love to see your Lenovo food/drink photos so think of us the next time you are chugging or chowing down on something fabulous. You can tweet at us or tag us on Instagram so we can live vicariously through you.
